In 1997, Dave started his automotive career as a retail salesperson in California which is where he is originally from and presently resides. After averaging 20 cars per month over a two year timeframe he was promoted to the Internet manager position and quickly built a team. Getting in to the Internet side was a very big change for him and forced him to challenge himself to learn more skill sets. At the same time, Dave learned how to be an effective sales manager and started desking all of the internet departments deals. He also worked on the retail side assisting from time to time. For the next 4 years Dave would be responsible for a hugely successful Internet department as well as a proven desk manager.

Being on the forefront of the automotive internet sales era, Dave took his talents and track records to another large automotive group where he replicated the model he created. He was able to double sales within 90 days and maintain increases for the next 2 years. He hired Jennifer Suzuki, the founder of e-Dealer Solutions to further develop what he had started. Dave’s team learned what it would take to get to the next level! He committed to the EDS philosophy and processes and found that even though the department was doing well it could do even better! Through ongoing training his team was able to maintain above average sales with increases year over year.

The truth is I love the car business and the internet isn’t going away. It is and will continue to be a major aspect in a dealers overall strategy for longevity. What comes next is the real exciting part, an increase in sales. This part is like how it feels to a salesperson when they deliver a car to a more than satisfied customer! It’s awesome! It makes me want to do my best everyday and exceed everyone’s expectations.
